In their Panasonic HDC-SX5 review, Digital Trends is taken aback by the design of the camcorder, calling it “ugly” and a “mess.” On the flipside, however, to the reviewer the video performance was exemplary. Colors were accurate, even better than Sony and Canon HDV camcorders. Low-light performance did suffer from too much noise, but otherwise the Panasonic HDC-SX5 seemed to perform very well.
