Storage company Fabrik has announced a new professional line of hard drives that add an unlimited online backup option to the mix. Three new drives, the Simple Drive, Pro Drive, and Duo Pro Drive, have been announced in differing capacities. For $4.95 a month, Fabrik’s software will backup all your data to their online servers. For those in the video editing arena working on long projects, this might be a great way to feel secure about your project files. Of course, uploading gigabytes of data will take a while even on a fast connection, but peace of mind is worth it, right? Read on for the hard drive specifics.

The Fabrik Duo Pro Drives feature RAID 0 or RAID 1 options and come in capacities 1TB ($399), 1.5TB ($599), and 2TB ($799). It can be connected either via USB 2.0 or eSATA interface.

Fabrik Pro Drives feature the same USB 2.0 or eSATA connection, but only boast one hard drive. No RAID here. You are looking at $229 for 500GB, $329 for 750GB, and $529 for 1TB.

Last and least are Fabrik’s Simple Drives, which only feature USB 2.0 connection and run $99 for 250GB, $129 for 320GB, and $169 for 500GB.
