A company called ProDAD has announced a new plug-in called Mercalli (cute pun) that is solely designed to eliminate camcorder shake from HD footage. The plug-in is available in a demo, light ($85 US), and expert ($168 US) versions for Windows-based NLEs such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Liquid 7.x, and Canopus Edius 4.x. It supports multicore processors and, according to the makers, will run in real-time on “up-to-date systems.”
