purecamcorder.jpgAbout a year ago a company named Pure Digital Technologies started selling a one-time use camcorder for $29.99. Apparently they were popular enough that people actually wanted to keep them and re-use them, so Pure Digital created a cheap digital camcorder called the Pure Digital Point and Shoot Camcorder. Selling for $129, the Pure Digital Point and Shoot Camcorder can hold up to 30 minutes of video at a time.

The Pure Digital Camcorder has a pop out USB connector to connect to your PC along with TV cables. You can also play back and delete videos instantly from the tiny device. According to an article at USA Today, the video quality is grainy and the audio is nowhere near as good as a traditional camcorder. It is best equated to the video and audio quality you would get from a digital still camera.

Hey, for $129 that’s about all the quality you can expect. I’m assuming CamcorderInfo or Videomaker Magazine is going to do a full-fledged “Pure Digital Point and Shoot Camcorder Review” very, very soon so be looking forward to it. What, they’re not going to review it? Who would have thought? Oh, well, you can head to your nearest Target store if you want to check them out.
