JVC and Samsung seem to enjoy pushing the limits of optical zoom, even when it comes at the sacrifice of video quality. The JVC GR-D750 is bound to be yet another in a long line of camcorders like these with a whopping 34x optical zoom. Everything else is pretty standard: 1/6″ CCD, 680K sensor (340K effective pixels), and a 2.7″ wide screen LCD.
No price is set as yet, and at the moment this is a Japan-only model. However, I’m sure we can expect to see the GR-D750 migrated to the U.S. very soon. The JVC GR-D750 should hit Japan’s shelves in January, 2007.
