Digital Trends takes on the latest consumer oriented tape-based HD camcorder in their Canon HV10 review. The reviewer found the HV10’s menu system somewhat hard to use, but at the same time the quality of the footage made it worthwhile. Focusing was fast with the Instant AF system and stills were good, but the lack of HDMI out and packaged editing software made the editor think twice about recommending the Canon HV10.
